Steve, Becky, and Noel Meadows own and operate Meadows Quarter horse in Staunton, VA. Steve has never held a job outside the horse business. He started riding colts when he was in high school while showing on the weekends. He met his high school sweetheart; Becky and they just celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary this year.
Their daughter Noel was very accomplished as a youth rider in both Hunter/Jumper and Ranch events. She was also very successful riding for the University of Tennessee Martin in the NCEA (College Div 1) where she was a three time All American in Reining and is currently training horses full time alongside of her mom and dad. Together, Steve and Becky own Meadows Quarter Horses in Staunton, VA and have turned out some of the best show horses in the country!
Steve has been a multiple Congress and World Champion in Western Pleasure while Becky had big success in the Hunter/Jumper events. In 2010-11, Becky had several big wins aboard her Hunters including winning the intermediate championship in Jr(horse) Hunter Hack at the AQHA World Championships and a National Snaffle Bit Association High Point title. Noel also a very accomplished equestrian winning the APHA World Championship Show, the AQHA Level One Championships, and several Res Champions at the All-American Quarter Horse Congress.
In 2014, Steve started really focusing on the Ranch Horses and basically reinvented himself to specialize in the Ranch Versatility Events. In just ten years, the success has been overwhelming with 60+ Congress and World Champions as well as several AQHA and NSBA High Point titles with Steve, Becky, Noel, and their clients. Steve is one of only a few people that has not only shown the champion, but also the reserve champion in the same class on the same day at several prestigious shows such as the AQHA World Championship Show, the APHA World Championship Show, and the All-American Quarter Horse Congress! He was also the inaugural winner of the AQHA World Championship in Ranch Trail as well as the inaugural winner of the AQHA World Championship in the Working Western Rail. Steve is an AQHA, APHA, and NSBA Judge as well as being an AQHA National Director. He has chaired the AQHA Professional Horseman’s Council and was voted the 2018 AQHA Professional Horseman’s Most Valuable Professional.
